About

I'm Rich Bergan, a photographer based in Connecticut exploring the relationship between humanity and our built and natural environments.

My background in construction and architectural woodworking shapes how I see spaces. Not just as finished products, but as the accumulation of decisions, materials, and craft that most people never notice. That perspective, combined with a deep interest in architecture, design, history, and politics, informs everything I shoot.

My ongoing work spans street photography, landscapes, and long-form documentary projects. I'm also available for architectural photography commissions, from construction progress documentation through finished interiors and exteriors. I bring the same eye for composition, light, and narrative to commercial work, with the added understanding of someone who has spent years on the building side of the industry.

If you're an architect, designer, or builder looking to document your work at any stage, I'd welcome the conversation.
